Novel re-reading

It’s always a joy when an online critic revisits one of my novels and writes about it for a second time, as Rohan Maitzen revisited ‘Hearts and Minds’ recently on her wonderfully thoughtful blog ‘Novel Readings: Notes on Literature and Criticism’.  Rohan likened my book to the satirical campus novels of David Lodge, but “a much kinder, gentler satire”, describing it as “an intimately human story about well-meaning people trying to make their way forward, as best they can” and “full of quiet insight and a kind of wry tenderness.”
