I’ve just heard that ‘Sandlands’ has made it through to the final six books shortlisted for the New Angle Prize for Literature 2017 – a wonderful honour.

I was so delighted to see my short story collection, ‘Sandlands’, on the longlist for the biennial New Angle Prize 2017 – and in some wonderful company!

Great to see no fewer than five book bloggers listing ‘Sandlands’ as one of their top reads of 2016! Thank you so much to Kendra Olsen, Being Anne, Terry Tyler Book Reviews, Laura Wilkinson, Heavenali, Call Me Madam, Cosy Books, I Prefer Reading and Books Please!

It’s great to see a review of ‘Sandlands’ in the Autumn 2016 issue of ‘New Books’ magazine – giving it five stars both as a personal read and as a book group read.

I am honoured to have been invited to take part in Suffolk Libraries Bookfest 2016. I shall be speaking at Great Cornard Library on Saturday 22 October, starting at 3.30pm. Tickets are £6.

To promote the launch of my short story collection, Sandlands, on 21st July I am embarking on a tour of interviews and guest posts at a number of wonderful book blogs – and I am very grateful to all the bloggers concerned for inviting me! 

I was delighted to give a pre-release reading of Stone the Crows – one of the stories from my new collection, Sandlands – at the East Anglian Festival of Culture in Lowestoft on Saturday 2nd July.

I am excited to be invited as sofa guest onto the ‘All About Suffolk’ afternoon show on BBC Radio Suffolk on Wednesday 13th July – talking about my writing, the launch of ‘Sandlands’ and other Suffolk-related things!

My short story collection, ‘Sandlands’ – and my beautiful owl! – receive front cover billing in the new Sandstone Press catalogue. (Thank you so much for your support, Sandstone!)
